- Respect the space – treat the weight room like it is your own. Replace all equipment when done using it, clean up any messes, and do not be unnecessarily rough on the equipment.
- Prioritize technique over the amount of weight used – take the time to master the technique and then begin to add weight. Using too much weight before focusing on proper weight lifting will only hurt your development in the long run.Everyone is at a different point in their development, and that is okay!
- Avoid pack mentality – it is your workout, so do the weight and exercise you need to do, not what others are doing. Focus on doing what you need to achieve your goals.
- Teamwork makes the dream work – help each other, support each other, and encourage each other. We are all on the same team, and we all are striving toward a similar goal.
The weight room is open Monday through Friday, 3 pm - 6 pm during the school year. Teams should book training ahead of time to guarantee a spot. Priority is given to in-season teams, then to pre-season teams, and then to off-season teams. Time will be set aside for “open gym” as often as available. Open gym is a time where any individual or athlete can come and work out. Please see the schedule below for more information on training times.
