Chris Goodwin begins his 1st year as Head Football Coach at Breck School.

Goodwin was previously the Head Coach at Norwood Young America as well as the SMB Wolfpack. 

Coach Goodwin's teams have attained a 71% winning percentage, which places him in the top 10% of active coaches in Minnesota. His teams have also had postseason success, winning three District titles and two Section championships. Goodwin also led SMB to the State Championship in 2019 as the head coach, and also in 2018 as the Offensive Coordinator.

During his 7 years as Head Coach, 37 players have gone on to play college football, including 6 at the Division 1 level, and 3 in the Ivy League.  SMB also featured Orlando Magic lottery pick Jalen Suggs at QB, who was also the MN Gatorade Football Player of the year in 2019.

His coaching background includes stops at many different levels of football, including Junior College, Division III, as well as Division 1 at Minnesota under Glen Mason for 4 years. 

Goodwin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and a Masters' Degree in Education, both from the University of Minnesota.

Chris and his wife Laura live in Edina with their two daughters who both attended Blake School.
